Introduction

In 2011, a team of program developers QForm UK it was decided to create a new program with a more convenient and faster interface, with more efficient and accurate solution methods. The task was set to create a flexible structure that would allow the program to be quickly improved and quickly expand its functionality. When creating the new software version, twenty years of experience in developing of the previous QForm versions were taken into account, and modern requirements and market development trends were taken into account. The convenience, flexibility, velocity, and functionality of the new software were highly appreciated by all users. The range of tasks to be solved has expanded significantly, and work in the program has become much faster and easier. The interface and the simulation core began to work independently. The new data structure made it possible to effectively manage large amounts of data.

The current QForm UK version is a program package that meets the most modern requirements in the field of metal forming simulation processes .  By using QForm UK almost all kinds of metal forming technological processes can be effectively investigated, including the processes of forging, free open die forging, rolling, ring rolling, profile extrusion, and many other special metal forming processes.

The documentation consists of four volumes:

1st volume "Getting started with QForm UK" will introduce you to the basics of the software. Quick start on training examples will help to independently master the simulation of 2D and 3D problems of bulk forging. At the specification, the list of simulation and interface possibilities of the software is given.

2nd volume "User's manual" contains a detailed description of all the features of the software.

3rd volume"Tutorial" invites the user to independently learn how to simulate various metal forming processes.

4th volume"Theoretical foundations QForm UK" will tell you about the physical and mathematical principles used in the simulation software .

5th volume"Technology manual" contains a description of simulation techniques for some special metal forming processes.
