Cylindrical coordinate system

The Subroutine allows you to obtain fields of coordinates of points, as well as velocities, stresses, strains, pressures and friction forces in the nodes of workpiece (or tool) in a cylindrical coordinate system . In this case, the axis can be specified (or calculated by the software) in various ways (parameter 'center').

Parameters of the subroutine

Name of parameter

Dimension

Description

dir_x, dir_y, dir_z

Dimensionless

Axial direction of the cylindrical coordinate system: 1 – this direction is taken as the axial direction for the cylindrical coordinate system

centre

Dimensionless

0 – axial direction of the cylindrical coordinate system corresponds to the parameters 'dir' and 'origin';

1 – axial direction corresponds to the real rotation axis of the object (calculated by the software for each step);

2 – axial direction is determined by the parameters 'dir', and the center of the coordinate system coincides with the center of gravity of the object (calculated by the software for each step);

3 – software calculates the axis of the object, assuming that it is axisymmetric;

4 – the object's own axis (previously specified) is used;

5 – the axis coincides with the line of intersection of 2 symmetry planes of the object (if they are created)

origin_x, origin_y, origin_z

mm

Coordinates of the origin point of the cylindrical coordinate system relative to the absolute coordinate system
