In the Ring rolling module, you need to convert geometric objects into specific tool types.
Depending on the rolling scheme, different sets of tools can be used.
The list of tools is shown in the image below:
Each type of tool has specific laws of motion. Let's look at the characteristics of each of them.
The main roll is the tool located at the outer surface of the ring and is involved in deformation in the radial direction.

A mandrel is a tool that is located inside a ring and is involved in deformation in the radial direction.
This type of tool has 1 translational motion. The mandrel can also freely rotate from contact with the ring.

An axial roll is a tool necessary for the deformation of the ring in the axial direction. |
A guide roll is a tool necessary to stabilize the position of the ring.

The support roller is a tool typically used on vertical rolling mills, and is necessary to ensure a controlled shifting of the center of the ring.
